JD Birds: Avian Diet

Avian Diet

  • Poor diet is the #1 reason for poor health

  • Feed your bird a varied mix of pellets, vegetables, beans, grains, fruits, sprouts, seeds and nuts. Some birds have specific dietary requirements - check to make sure you are providing a nutritious diet for your birdie buddy

  • Pellets and fresh clean water should always be available. Change both food and water at least once a day

  • Birds are cocial animals and social eaters. Share your healthy foods with your bird.

  • NEVER give birds alcohol, chocolate, caffine, avocados, rhubarb, salty or sugary foods, and refrain from fried foods.
